Frequently Asked Questions

Do you only treat runners?

Nope. Dr. Morgan has experience with treating patients of all ages and of various sport/athletic backgrounds. She’s worked with triathlon, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, CrossFit athletes on a regular basis as well as the general active adult population.

Do you accept insurance?

We are considered an out-of-network (OON) provider. We do not contract directly with any insurance companies, but will provide the appropriate invoices and documentation upon request if you would like to pursue reimbursement directly with your insurance company. It is up to you to contact your insurance company to understand your out of network benefits.

Insurance based models usually require you to come multiple times a week for several months while we typically see our patients once a week, progressing towards more time in between visits. Patients in the insurance model can find themselves paying higher prices for less quality care before their co-pay kicks in. As an OON provider, we aren’t limited to only treating the symptomatic area but are able to address the whole body in order to better get to the root of the problem. Oftentimes, you will find our personalized treatment style will get you better faster, saving both money and time.

You can use your health savings accounts (HSA) and flex savings accounts (FSA) to pay for treatment

Do you treat pelvic floor dysfunction?

Yes we do! Dr. Morgan is a pelvic floor physical therapist that specializes in pregnant and postpartum endurance athletes. She treats symptoms related to incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain and diastasis recti. Whether you’re a runner that’s been dealing with symptoms for years or you just want to learn more about pelvic floor physical therapy, you’re in the right spot!

What should I expect at my first session?

Be ready to talk because we want to learn about you! Your first session will be an hour long 1-on-1 session with the PT in order to discuss things such as current injuries, upcoming races, current training status, past running related injuries and much more.

We will follow that up with a comprehensive physical exam to evaluate your movement patterns, stability, strength and flexibility. From there, I will discuss these findings with you and make recommendations for continued treatment.

My goal is to have you leave the first session with complete understanding of your symptoms which will make for a better recovery process and help you get back to running faster!

Do I need a referral from my doctor before PT?

No, you can get started getting rid of your pain right now! GA has a direct access law that allows patients to see their PT without a referral from the doctor for 8 visits or 21 days, whichever comes first. You can receive a referral from your primary care physician, chiropractor or other speciality physicians in the state of GA. There are some circumstances where you can extend treatment without the referral and am happy to discuss more to see if that applies to you.
